The Homestead
Built by Hand, Grown with Heart
Hathaway Homestead began the way most good things do — with a few chickens, a stubborn streak, and a deep love for the land. Tucked into the Sonoran Desert, we raise heritage breeds the old way: room to roam, real food, and the kind of care that can't be automated.
We believe in preserving rare and heritage breeds, in the quiet magic of watching an egg hatch, and in building something real with your own two hands. Every bird here has a name. Every egg leaves with intention.
Read Our StoryWhy Hathaway
We do things the old way — because the old way works.
Heritage Bloodlines
We source and maintain rare heritage breeds with documented lineages — birds worth raising, worth preserving.
Desert-Hardy Stock
Our flock is acclimated to the Sonoran Desert's heat and rhythms — resilient birds that thrive in the Southwest.
Raised with Intention
No shortcuts. Free range, real feed, herbal supplements, and the kind of daily attention that shows in every hatch.
Small Flock Quality
We're not a factory. We're a homestead. That means you get eggs from birds we know by name, packed by hand.

The Honeyed Valkyrie
An Apothecary Line from Hathaway Homestead
Some remedies are too good to rush. The Honeyed Valkyrie is our forthcoming line of electuaries — herbs carefully selected for quality and potency, suspended in raw honey sourced from a local Tucson beekeeper. Ancient medicine, made with intention.
Each electuary is a small act of old-world wisdom: the right herb, the right honey, blended the way healers have done it for centuries. No fillers, no shortcuts — just botanicals and a beekeeper we trust.
